About the program
The Global Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is a 2-day training program designed for delivery in countries that do not yet have a licensed MHFA partner.
Delivered by Mental Health First Aid International, this course teaches adults how to provide initial support to another adult experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, until professional help is available or the situation stabilises.
Unlike country-specific MHFA courses, the Global MHFA Program is not linked to a single national framework. It delivers a universally applicable, evidence-informed foundation while encouraging participants to connect these principles to their own cultural, community, and service contexts.
The aim is to equip people around the world with practical, adaptable mental health first aid skills.
